Ray Aragon is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law with a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. He has been active in bar leadership and Latino community organizations for a number of years. Mr. Aragon has served on the State Bar Board of Governors, the Judicial Council, the San Diego County Bar Association Board of Directors and was twice elected President of San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association. He is a current member of the Chula Vista Police Department’s Community Advisory Board, a past member of the San Diego Mayor’s Latino Advisory Board and served as a director of the Chicano Federation. Mr. Aragon is certified as a specialist in criminal law by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and holds a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rating. He works as a senior trial attorney at the San Diego County Department of the Public Defender, handling numerous high profile jury trials.
