Javier Saunders

Vice President

Javier Saunders serves as an Executive Vice President for BRADY. For the past 30 years he has led and managed multi-million dollar projects for public agencies. He successfully brings engineering operations and business development together to foster a collaborate approach to delivering high quality projects. Prior to joining BRADY, he served as the Assistant Director of Engineering Design for the Port of San Diego overseeing the $100 million CIP program. Mr. Saunders also spent 16 years with the City of San Diego Water and Wastewater Department managing such notable projects as the expansion of the Metro Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the planning of the City’s Drinking Water Quality Improvement Program. Over his career, he has handled all aspects of large and small water and wastewater facilities including the construction of over 50 miles of pipelines.

Mr. Saunders has served one full term as a member of the San Diego County Water Authority Board of Directors as a representative for the City of San Diego. Mr. Saunders has held a variety of leadership positions at the Authority, including current past Chair of the Water Planning Committee, Alternate Board Member to the Colorado River Board, past Vice-Chairman of the Imported Water Committee and has served on several Ad Hoc committees such as the Bi-National Committee and Desalination Committee. Javier is also a member of the American Public Works Association and Construction Management Association of America.
